Serving

The Community Church of Madrid is regularly involved in social ministries within the church, in the city of Madrid and throughout the world. As a “Church without Walls,” the church supports a number of organizations with its funds.

  • Through our Greeters Program, we welcome each other to services each Sunday.
  • Through our Prayer Group (online), we lift one another through prayer.
  • Through our Love Offering, we support social ministries within the church, the city, and around the world. These funds have been used for refugee support, natural disaster relief, and assistance in conflict-ridden areas, and have included contributions to organizations such as Rescate Internacional, Foro ACT-Alliance Palestina, and Asociación Nazaret. All monies collected in the regular offering the third week of December are donated to ministries we support.
  • Through our Greeting Card Ministry, we remember our homebound members and our students who are studying or working abroad.
  • We support and provide outreach to Acción Social Protestante,  a not-for-profit organization that carries out social and humanitarian activities as part of the work of the Evangelical Church of Spain’s Madrid Presbytery; Karibu, which assists Madrid’s African immigrant community; and Sharing the Food Love, a lay ministry providing twice-monthly Sunday evening meals in Plaza Opéra in the center of Madrid.
  • We hold an annual back-to-school school supplies drive and collect clothing on the second Sunday of each month for Acción Social Protestante’s clothes closet.
  • We support the Fundación Olivia Roddam (cancer research).
  • We hold an annual food drive for The Salvation Army.
